Students will create a Poster Portrait with Adobe Photoshop by initially desaturating an image of someone's headshot (making it black and white). Students will learn to fill a layer with black, and create a composite layer. Students will then save the image as a displacement layer. Students will use the text tool to place inspiring words over the headshot. Students will highlight the text and change the font if necessary as well as the size to format the text to cover the image with a white font. Students will then use the text layer with a distort filter to displace the text to wrap the text by placing it on the previously saved displacement file. The final step is to use the layer overlay and apply a gradient to the text to give it a beautiful color mode.
