About Guadalupe

Hey there! I am Guadalupe Cabzaca, an uprising Junior attending the High School of Applied Communication. I was born and raised in New York City. As a student, I am very attentive. Being involved in my school's community along with others is something I hold to value. In just my two years in HSAC, I have gotten awarded for many of my successes. For example, Perfect Attendance, Principal's Honor Roll, Student of the Month, Golden Mic, etc.

I have always been interested in technology, and I was lucky that HSAC provided students with a Microsoft, Graphic Design, and Web Design course. As a quick learner, I was able to advance very rapidly in this course. As of right now, I have a license in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. I am also well experienced in Adobe Photoshop and the concept of Graphic Design. Recently I have touched upon Web Design and have completed courses working with HTML and CSS. Although I have successfully planned and created a variety of projects, I continue to learn. Technology is an ever-evolving thing.

As an individual, I am ambitious, detail-oriented, driven, resourceful, and passionate. I am the type of person who tends to take charge. I possess strong leadership skills which, have helped me gain many leadership roles in life.

One of my passions in life is literature. Although I will major eventually in Psychology, I enjoy it. When we read, we enter another world: the mind of the author, narrator, or speaker. Literature offers the opportunity to experience the world from the perspective of another, even if it's just for a few seconds. In literature, there are various states of feelings and sensations. There is Love, Pain, Joy, Happiness, Tragedy, Curiosity, Suffering, Pride, etc. Literature allows one to express themselves through a medium of words.

My Services

National Honor Society

I am part of HSAC's National Honor Society. Joined in my sophomore year in high school (2020-2021) and was part of the Funding Committee. I am now the President of NHS for 2021-2022.

Graphic Design

I use visual compositions to communicate ideas and thoughts through imagery, color, and form. I am well experienced on working with Adobe Photoshop.

Web Design

I have the ability to plan, create, code, and maintain web pages. I can create the general design and layout of a website or web page.

School Involvement

I like to be involved in my school's community. I find it important to build good relationships with other students, teachers and staff.
